Teye Sa Thiosanne West African Drum Ensemble

Teye Sa Thiosanne ‘Keepers Of The Tradition” is a San Diego-based organization currently providing performances and programs in West African Djembe and Dounun  music.  Since its inception 1989, the company has been consistent in providing the community with this style of traditional cultural expression that dates as far back as Ancient Mali.  The founder Yiriba Thomas and music director Terrance Uzoma Nelson have been carefully trained by many impressive master artists of the African tradition.  Their fine blend of talent and energy to say the least is very entertaining and informing to audiences young and old.
